Minnesota Vikings waiver wire order set heading into roster cutdown day

The waiver wire around the NFL is packed as teams begin to cut rosters down to 53 from 90 resulting in an influx of over 1200 players.

The waiver wire is getting a workout around the NFL as teams begin to cut rosters down to 53 from 90. This means there will be an influx of over 1200 players for general managers and front offices to carve through and decide if any of them would be fit and benefit their club.

The Minnesota Vikings’ spot on the waiver wire is pretty favorable. They will have the 11th spot, giving them first chances at players over 21 other teams around the NFL.

The order is very similar to April’s draft order. The Carolina Panthers have the first chance, while the Kansas City Chiefs have the last chance at a player.

The Vikings have already started waiving players as they cut down their roster. As well as placing players on the PUP list like T.J. Hockenson and injured reserve like Gabriel Murphy and Najee Thompson. Every move is done for a reason as they look to maximize their roster.
