Post-game update on OL Sidy Sow is concerning for Patriots

Injuries continue to plague the Patriots’ offensive line

New England Patriots interior offensive lineman Sidy Sow suffered an injury on Sunday that caused him to miss the entire second half of the team’s preseason finale against the Washington Commanders.

The Boston Globe’s Christopher Price reported late Sunday that Sow left the locker room in a walking boot.

This is certainly discouraging news for an offensive line that looks to be struggling heading into the season. Sow appeared in 15 games last season and started in 13 of them. He was thrown into the fire right away on an offensive line unit that had plenty of issues.

He’s hoping to build on that effort in his second season with the Patriots, but he’ll have to get healthy first.

Sow’s injury will be worth monitoring for an offensive line that is already struggling with depth issues.

The second-year guard missing any time would be the worst-case scenario for a team that desperately needs to have solid play from the line this year. It certainly makes you wonder if the Patriots should have addressed the positional unit a bit more in free agency.
