Despite dropping their most recent game, the Indiana Fever are still holding steady amid the WNBA hierarchy. They played the Minnesota Lynx tough but it was a night of celebration on the road and was simply just too much for the young Fever to overcome.
While the 90-80 loss saw their overall record drop to 13-16, it didn’t cause the Fever to see any ill effects in the most recent ESPN WNBA Power Rankings. The Fever held steady at No. 5 in the WNBA.
The Fever had just one game last week, and it was on Moore’s big celebratory night at Minnesota on Saturday. Indiana fell 90-80, but the Fever had some good moments. Especially in the backcourt, as Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell continue their post-Olympic scoring success. The Fever also decisively won the rebounding battle vs. Minnesota. But Clark acknowledged after the game that they needed to find ways to get Aliyah Boston more good looks inside.

Still holding onto the No. 7 seed in the playoffs with a two-game advantage over the Chicago Sky, the Fever need to capitalize on two winnable games this week.
They start the week off on the road against a 10-18 Atlanta Dream team followed by a home matchup against the Connecticut Sun who are the No. 2 team in the playoff seeding currently with a 22-7 record.
The week wraps up on Friday with a trip to take on the Chicago Sky who are 11-18 in a game with playoff implications.
If the Fever can come out of this week with a 2-1 record, their playoff hopes not only see some more life injected into them but gives them momentum down the stretch.
