Ravens TE Isaiah Likely is ready to take chemistry with Lamar Jackson to the next level

Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely ready to take chemistry with quarterback Lamar Jackson to the next level

The Baltimore Ravens will look to improve on their 2023 season on the offensive side of the ball. Offensive coordinator Todd Monken will embark on his second year as the team’s offensive coordinator, which should make everything easier for everybody in multiple ways.

One area that would make Baltimore’s offense pop even more-so than it has so far is if quarterback Lamar Jackson can get on the same page with more of his receivers and keep establishing chemistry. Tight end Isaiah Likely is confident that he and Jackson can keep building on what they already have, especially with their communication.

“Oh, for sure. I feel like there are still plays on the field that me and Lamar [Jackson] just might have just missed, or I was off, and he expected me somewhere, or I expected it a certain way. So, [we’re] just harping on those things in practice. [I’m] hearing it from his perspective, whether he’s taking the rep with me or just watching from the sideline. He’s always in tune to watching – either when you’re on, or when you’re off – and always going to the iPad and letting you know, ‘Hey, if you look here, I’m going to hit you,’ or, ‘If you do this, this way, expect it right now’ and stuff like that.”

Likely can line up anywhere on the field, and he as well as Jackson were able to find a rhythm as the year went on. The team will need Likely to step up even more this season, especially as they try to get everyone involved on the offensive side of the ball.
