Duke football posts cheeky flashback photo after flipping Clemson commit Bryce Davis

After Duke football flipped four-star Clemson commit Bryce Davis on Sunday, the Blue Devils posted a photo of last year’s season-opener.

Who says a picture can’t say a thousand words?

The Duke football team flipped four-star defensive lineman Bryce Davis, a former Clemson commit, on Sunday after multiple expert predictions forecasted the move over the previous two days. After reports confirmed Davis would switch to the Blue Devils, the team’s social media account posted an innocent, seemingly unrelated photo of fans on the field at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Upon closer look, however, it becomes obvious which game the photo came from.

Last September, Blue Devils fans stormed the field after Duke beat, you guessed it, a top-10 Clemson team. The dominant 28-7 victory was Duke’s first top-10 win since 1989 (another win over the Tigers) and kicked off Clemson’s worst season since 2010. The Blue Devils, on the other hand, won eight games to finish off the team’s best two-year run in a decade.

Davis committed to the Tigers last month but now becomes the highest-ranked Blue Devil commit of the century.
