The UCLA Bruins football program is up for a tough task in 2024 after a number of changes and a move to the Big Ten Conference.
The schedule didn’t do them many favors, either.
Riley Donald of Hawkeyes Wire laid out predictions for every Big Ten Conference team with the season around the corner.
Donald picked UCLA to finish with a 3-9 record and he even detailed which games they would win and lose.
Record prediction: 3-9
Wins: at Hawai’i, Indiana, Fresno State
Losses: at LSU, Oregon, at Penn State, Minnesota, at Rutgers, at Nebraska, Iowa, at Washington, USC
Arguably the team being hurt most by the new conference is the UCLA Bruins. Their schedule features five teams ranked in preseason polls with road trips to Rutgers and Nebraska in October and November. The UCLA Bruins use 2024 as a learning year in Big Ten play.
Donald had Oregon going 12-0 with Penn State and Ohio State going 11-1. Also, he had Purdue at 1-11, so it isn’t bad seeing UCLA with three projected wins.
