Two more recruiting experts think Duke football flips four-star Clemson commit Bryce Davis

On3 recruiting experts Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons predicted on Saturday that Duke would flip four-star edge rusher Bryce Davis from Clemson.

Any Duke football fans who subscribe to the idea that smoke means fire surely have to feel confident about their team’s chances to land four-star 2025 edge rusher Bryce Davis.

Davis committed to the Clemson Tigers in July, but On3 recruiting experts Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons both predicted on Saturday that the Greensboro product would flip to the Blue Devils.

According to On3’s Collin Ginnan, Davis debated between the Tigers and the Blue Devils until the morning of his commitment.

The news comes one day after 247Sports recruiting analyst Tom Loy logged a Crystal Ball prediction on Friday that Davis would eventually choose to play in Durham. On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine said that, as of Saturday night, first-year Duke coach Manny Diaz had an 89.4% chance to win Davis’s commitment away from two-time national champion Dabo Swinney.

Davis plays for Grimsley High School, and he’s one of the top 75 players in the country according to both On3 and 247Sports.

Diaz, in his first full cycle as the Blue Devils head coach, already secured two dozen players for the Class of 2025. Three-star running back Nate Sheppard from Louisiana became the latest commitment on Friday.
