Notre Dame commit Mark Zackery IV has a 100-yard pick-six in opener

A monster play from the Irish commit

It’s always great to see Notre Dame football commits playing well on Friday nights before they start to play the majority of their games on Saturday’s.

For 2025 defensive back commit [autotag]Mark Zackery IV[/autotag], it was an unforgettable moment to start his final high school season. The 5-foot, 11-inch and 165-pound corner picked off a pass, and proceeded to race 100-yards the other way for a score.

The in-state corner committed to the Irish in late-May, but Notre Dame would have taken a commitment whenever Zackery was ready. He’s one of the country’s best players, ranking as the No. 135 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

This won’t be the last time we see Zackery making a big play on defense as he’ll roam the Irish secondary in the near future.
