UCLA Bruins football receives no love in USA TODAY Sports re-rankings

No love for UCLA.

Not everyone is buying into DeShaun Foster and the UCLA Bruins football team in 2024. With the start of the season right around the corner, USA TODAY Sports did a re-ranking of all 134 teams in College Football. It was not pretty for the Bruins.

Paul Myerberg ranked the Bruins at 91st in the country to start the season. The Bruins were the lowest-ranked team with 8 wins a season ago. 91st placed them just below Colorado and Cincinnati. They were ranked ahead of the Baylor Bears, Georgia State and Illinois.

The Bruins are ranked ahead of their first two opponents for 2024. UCLA is on the road at Hawaii on August 31st. The Rainbow Warriors are 111th in the rankings. On September 14th, the Bruins host Indiana. The Hoosiers are 97th, just ahead of Purdue in the rankings.

To the surprise of no one, Georgia was ranked first. Ohio State, Texas, Oregon, and Alabama rounded out the Top 5. Other Big Ten teams include Penn State at 9, Michigan at 16 and Nebraska at 25.
