The Miami Dolphins will end their preseason slate Friday night with a road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

It’s a chance for the Dolphins to finish August with a perfect 3-0 record, although wins and losses don’t matter much at all in the exhibition contests. More importantly, it’s an opportunity for Mike McDaniel and the Miami coaching staff to get one last look at players battling for spots on the team’s 53-man roster.

Earlier this week, McDaniel told reporters that the Dolphins “will play some starters” against the Buccaneers. However, he emphasized that the final preseason game will be used to emphasize players in the hunt for jobs, so don’t expect to see much — or any — from entrenched starters like Tua Tagovailoa and co.
