With the Colorado Buffaloes among his top four teams, class of 2025 interior offensive lineman Jayvon McFadden told On3’s Hayes Fawcett that he plans on announcing his commitment on Saturday.
McFadden, a Washington, DC native, is a four-star prospect and the No. 24 IOL in his class, according to On3. Due to his local ties, CU may have difficulty pulling McFadden away from his other three options of Maryland, South Carolina and Ohio State.
After he spoke with 247Sports’ Bill Kurelic, it seems the Buckeyes lead the race. Here’s how McFadden rated his summer official visit with Ohio State on a scale of 1-10:
“I don’t want to give it a 10, that’s too cliche,” McFadden told 247Sports. “So I’ll say 9. But Ohio State’s my leader. I feel good about Ohio State and they feel good about me.”
A commitment from McFadden, who stands 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, would be huge for the Buffs. He would mark head coach Deion Sanders’ third offensive line commitment in the class of 2025, joining four-star Chauncey Gooden and three-star Jay Gardenhire.
