New UCLA Bruins head coach DeShaun Foster has a tough task ahead of him. The first-year head coach is beginning the program’s journey into the Big Ten Conference as well.
Foster has a tough task and has had plenty of doubters, but he admits to keeping receipts on him, per Eva Geitheim of Bruins SI.
I don’t get too caught up in that [the public opinion]. I keep my players level-headed, they’re not worried about that, but we’re fired up,” Foster said. “It is a little light underneath you. We just take it in stride. You just better hope that you didn’t say something and I beat you because it’s going to be bad.”
Moreover, Foster said he has receipts from more than 20 years ago.
Trust me, I’ve got receipts from ‘98. There’s a few people on the list I’m looking for.”
Of course, Foster’s opening statement at Big Ten media days did not go over well, but let’s see if the result on the field pays off.
