It’s the final day of double-digits in the countdown to Nebraska’s 2024 season opener on August 31 against the UTEP Miners. With just ten days left until toe meets leather, Huskers junior quarterback Henrich Haarberg is in the player spotlight.
The Kearney, Nebraska native enters the 2024 season as a backup to Dylan Raiola for the Huskers. Last season, Haarberg played in 10 games and made eight starts. During his eight starts, the Huskers put together a 5-3 record.
Statistically, it was an up-and-down season for the junior. He completed just 49% of his passes for 967 yards and seven touchdowns while also throwing seven interceptions. He also picked up 477 rushing yards and five additional touchdowns on the ground.
