ESPN’s Football Power Index now includes predictions for every game on LSU’s 2024 football schedule. Here is how it thinks the Tigers will do this Fall.
A lot of people around the country are high on the Tigers this season. After back-to-back 10-win seasons, [autotag]Garrett Nussmeier[/autotag], [autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag], and the LSU Tigers look to reach new heights this fall as the Tigers want to play for an SEC Championship and contend for a national championship.
ESPN’s FPI is unfortunately not as high on the Tigers. Officially, ESPN’s FPI has LSU finishing the regular season with an 8-4 record. The four losses would be on the road against Texas A&M, at home against Alabama, at home against Oklahoma, and either in the season opener against USC or on the road against Florida.
Their projected W-L is 7.9-4.2. Going 8-4 in the regular season after back-to-back 10-win seasons would be a letdown for this team. I don’t think that will happen, though. I think the Tigers will handle A&M, Florida and USC. Alabama and Oklahoma will be two knock-down, drag-out type games.
