Georgia Bulldogs 2024 tight end position preview

Georgia football has a trio of options at tight end including third-team All-SEC selection Oscar Delp

The Georgia Bulldogs lost star tight end Brock Bowers to the 2024 NFL draft, but Georgia still has one of the nation’s top tight end rooms. Georgia returns Oscar Delp for the 2024 college football season. Delp started when Brock Bowers was hurt last year and is a third-team All-SEC selection.

“I think it just kind of happened over time,” said Delp on becoming the leader of the Georgia tight end room. Beyond Delp is sophomore Lawson Luckie and Stanford graduate transfer Benjamin Yurosek. We think Yurosek will eventually become Georgia’s No. 2 tight end, but for now he is still adjusting to UGA’s system.

That trio figures to play the majority of Georgia’s snaps at tight end. Georgia also has two true freshmen in Jaden Reddell and Colton Heinrich. Reddell, a former four-star recruit, had a strong spring practice and is more likely to see snaps than Heinrich. He is one injury away from being part of Georgia’s tight ends rotation.

  1. Oscar Delp (Junior)
  2. Lawson Luckie (Sophomore)
  3. Benjamin Yurosek (Graduate Transfer)
  4. Jaden Reddell (Freshman)
  5. Colton Heinrich (Freshman)

Stanford transfer Benjamin Yurosek is excellent after the catch and has even received some carries in his college career. Look for him to replace some of Brock Bowers’ rushing production.
