UFC strikers Dustin Jacoby, Vitor Petrino to fight in Tampa

Dustin Jacoby and Vitor Perino have combined for 21 career finishes, including 19 knockouts, so UFC fans can expect violence around the holidays.

A banger of a light heavyweight fight is headed to Tampa, Fla.

[autotag]Dustin Jacoby[/autotag] and [autotag]Vitor Petrino[/autotag] will square off in a light heavyweight bout Dec. 14 at the UFC Fight Night event at Amalie Arena.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

The two fighters have combined for 21 career finishes, including 19 knockouts, so fight fans should expect this one to get violent.

Both Jacoby (19-9-1 MMA, 7-6-1 UFC) and Petrino (11-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) aim to rebound from recent losses. A live by the sword, die by the sword fighter, Jacoby was finished by Dominick Reyes in June. One month earlier, Petrino took a step up the rankings to battle Anthony Smith and was submitted in the first round.

With the addition, the UFC Fight Night lineup for Dec. 14 includes:

  • Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Ribas
  • Dustin Jacoby vs. Vitor Petrino
