Alabama football gets a special visit from NFL legend JJ Watt

NFL legend JJ Watt visits with Alabama ahead of 2024 campaign.

The Alabama Crimson Tide begin their 2024 campaign in just under two weeks with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers coming to town on August 31 for a prime time 6:00 p.m. kick-off.

For the first time since Nick Saban’s early years, the Tide go into a season playing the role of the underdog. Saban’s retirement certainly hasn’t been easy, but everyone from AD Greg Byrne to new head coach Kalen DeBoer has been phenomenal in the transition.

On top of DeBoer being one of the best young coaches in the sport, Alabama is still home to some of the richest histories in the sport and world-class facilities. Over the years, plenty of people have popped in to visit with and speak to the Alabama football team ranging from Michael Phelps to Kobe Bryant.

Under DeBoer, the guest speaker series continues as JJ Watt is in Tuscaloosa to visit with the team. Watt is arguably the best defensive player of the 2010s and is a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The funniest part is the Crimson Tide takes on his alma mater the Wisconsin Badgers in Week 3.
