Injuries to Payton Wilson and Tyler Matakevich left the Pittsburgh Steelers thin at inside linebacker, forcing the team to bring one in.

According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, the Steelers are signing Kyahva Tezino, best known to Pittsburgh football fans for his time with the Maulers.

During the 2022 season, Tezino logged a team-high 93 tackles and two interceptions. Last season, he ranked second in tackles and tackles for loss and made 13 tackles in the 2023 USFL Championship Game.

Tezino spent 2023 training camp with the San Fransisco 49ers.

Wilson exited the Bills game early and was evaluated for a concussion on Sunday. Matakevich, who the Steelers brought back to the roster last month, is dealing with an ankle injury.
