Titans’ Will Levis breaks down his ‘angry run’

During an appearance on Good Morning Football, Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis discussed his 2023 Angry Run Scepter.

It wasn’t all about Mayonnaise when Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis joined Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, and Akbar Gbajabiamila of “Good Morning Football” on Monday morning. Not only did he talk about the progression of the 2024 Titans, he reminisced about the start of his football career and how it possibly fueled his 2023 Angry Run Award.

Once the dissection of the fragrance ceased, Brandt took little time to mention the Angry Run Scepter awarded Week 14 of the 2023 season.

“I am excited to say, you are the only human being in history to have your own fragrance and your own scepter,” Brandt said before waxing poetic about the run. On the play, Levis lowered his shoulder and bulldozed Miami Dolphins CB Jalen Ramsey. “What makes you different? And dude you getting another scepter, or what? ” Brandt continued.

“I think it would be in my coaches, and my careers, best interest if that was the one scepter I got,” Levis said, “But I do have to say that’s probably my favorite trophy.” before revealing that he may need a replacement after the original was damaged. From there, Levis continued to break down what gives him the physical edge that he plays with.

“I’m a football player at heart,” he said, “I started playing football as a running back, linebacker. I only knew how to play physically, aggressively.”

Levis will never be mistaken for Lamar Jackson, but he has some underrated mobility and running ability. He has shown flashes of his talents with elite size, arm strength, and on-field physicality as a rookie, playing with an edge that endears himself to fans. Now, Levis will look to build upon those moments with a successful 2024 campaign, and who knows, maybe another scepter.

Levis will return to the field on Sunday as the Titans take on the New Orleans Saints in the preseason finale.
