The 2024 Formula Zero Elite Camp brought in the top incoming college freshman and the top recruits from the next class in a battle of wills and desires over the last weekend.
UNC basketball freshman Ian Jackson, the No. 8 overall recruit in the incoming class, was selected as one of the counselors throughout the duration of the Damian-Lillard-run camp.
Not only was it noteworthy for Jackson to be selected, but he was also awarded the Most Improved Player award for the counselors alongside Tajh Ariza, from the Class of 2026, for the players.

Jackson can be seen in the video below posted by Overtime Elite drawing up the game-winning play for his team in the camp. This type of leadership is crucial to see amongst a freshman that will likely take the starting spot in the roster.

Jackson will help lead the Tar Heels this season alongside the backcourt of senior RJ Davis and sophomore Elliot Cadeau. Jackson can trust that he will always have a future in coaching when he is done with his dynamic playing career.
