Notre Dame football received great news last week when 2026 5-star Mississippi safety [autotag]Bralan Womack[/autotag] trimmed his list down to ten schools, with the Irish advancing.
With two 247Sports Crystal Ball picks logged for the nation’s No. 23 overall prospect according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings in favor of Notre Dame, this was a net positive development. One of the picks was made by Tom Loy, a former Irish insider and 247Sports current National Recruiting Analyst.
While speaking on their YouTube channel, he named Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M and Notre Dame in that order if he were to predict how Womack is ranking the teams currently. Loy says that “although his 247Sports Crystal Ball is on Notre Dame, I just don’t feel as confident as when he once named them his public leader.”

There is still a good amount of time for Notre Dame to make up the ground that it has lost this summer. It’s not the greatest position to be in right now, according to Loy, but the Irish are still in the conversation.
