LSU lands 3-star tight end Mike Tyler over South Carolina, others

The Columbia, South Carolina, native ultimately chose the Tigers over the hometown Gamecocks.

[autotag]Brian Kelly[/autotag] and his recruiting staff have added another commitment to the 2025 recruiting class. This time it’s a three-star tight end from South Carolina’s backyard.

[autotag]Mike Tyler[/autotag] is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound, three-star tight end from Columbia, South Carolina. He chose the Tigers over South Carolina, NC State, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and others.

Tyler becomes the 23rd commit of the 2025 class and the second tight end commit in the class. The other tight end commit is [autotag]JD LaFleur[/autotag], a three-star tight end from Sulphur High School in Louisiana.

LSU’s 2025 class is currently ranked as the No. 3 class in the country according to 247Sports. The Tigers are only behind Ohio State and Alabama for the No. 1 spot in the class.

Kelly has recruited a top 10 class every year since coming to Baton Rouge and the 2025 class looks like it could be the greatest recruiting class in his coaching career. I don’t think he is anywhere close to being finished with it either.
