The Chicago Sky (11-15) and Phoenix Mercury (14-13) meet at Footprint Center Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook’s lines around the Sky vs. Mercury odds, and make our expert WNBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Mercury lead 1-0

These teams just met Thursday in the 1st game back from the Olympic break, with Phoenix posting an 85-65 win at Wintrust Arena in Chicago as a 5.5-point favorite as the Under (163) cashed.

Mercury G Kahleah Copper, playing in her 1st game back in Chicago since being traded, rolled up a game-high 29 points on 12-of-29 shooting with 3 triples. C Brittney Griner added 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 5 blocked shots and 2 steals on 10-of-12 shooting.

The Sky rebounded from that sound beating, picking up a 90-86 win at Los Angeles on Friday night as a 2.5-point favorite as the Over (160.5) cashed. Despite the cover, Chicago is still just 5-7 against the spread (ATS) in the past 12 games. The Over and Under have alternated in the past 6 outings.

Sky rookie F Angel Reese had 14 points and 11 rebounds in 34 minutes in L.A., and she went for 11 points with 15 boards in the 1st battle with Phoenix on Thursday.

Sky at Mercury picks and predictions

Prediction

Mercury 87, Sky 76

Moneyline

In this rematch from Thursday, Phoenix (-355) is likely to get the win again. However, you cannot risk more than 3 times your potential return. That’s way too much risk for not nearly enough reward, even if you were to fold this pick into a multi-leg parlay.

PASS, and focus on the spread instead.

Against the spread

PHOENIX -7.5 (-108) is a strong play at home. The Mercury just routed Chicago +7.5 (-112) by 20 points at Wintrust Arena on Thursday. There is no reason to believe the Sky will suddenly turn things around, especially in the Valley of the Sun.

Chicago pushed around Los Angeles last time out, but that’s because the Sparks are missing rookie Cameron Brink, and they’re a bit undersized. The Mercury certainly have the size in the middle, as well as a balanced attack with solid perimeter shooting.

Over/Under

UNDER 166.5 (-110) is a strong play in this rematch in the desert.

The Under (163) easily cashed in their game on Thursday, with 150 combined points. The Sky defense has been leaky lately, allowing 81 or more points in 5 straight outings, and 7 of the previous 8 contests.

For Phoenix, the Over has cashed in 5 of the past 6 games, but that lone Under was against the Sky.
