No player has had a rougher training camp or preseason than Lewis Cine, which makes this play that much more special. He got an assist from his teammate on the play, but that was okay; he still had to react and make an athletic play on the ball.
The play we are eluding to was an interception made by the former first-round pick to stop the Browns as they looked to get points on the board before the end of the first half.
Browns quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson was having success as time whined down in the second quarter. He had been finding holes in the secondary, but a tipped pass ended things when Cine secured it.
As we mentioned, Lewis Cine has been struggling, and despite the interception, he remains at risk of not making the final roster. If he can use this to build momentum into a strong second half against the Browns, then maybe he can get momentum for his roster spot as well.
