2026 5-star DB out of Flowood (MS) has placed Texas A&M in his Top 10

One of the top defensive back propsects in the 2026 class has included Texas A&M in his Top 10 program list

When Texas A&M hired Mike Elko to replace long-time head coach Jimbo Fisher, some questioned whether Elko could match Fisher’s recruiting success. However, if the Aggies’ 2025 cycle is of any concern, the new regime has things back on track.

As the focus shifts to the 2024 season, A&M’s 2026 recruiting class is beginning to lay the groundwork for next summer. It has already landed two defensive prospects, 3-star safety Markel Ford and 3-star cornerback Ryan Gilbert, as Elko’s defensive background continues to play a huge role on the recruiting trail.

Looking to land another blue-chip prospect in the secondary this cycle, 2026 5-star safety Bralan Womack has released his top 10 program list, which includes Texas A&M, as the Mississippi native is by far one of the most versatile secondary prospects in the class.

Within his list, Texas A&M joins Notre Dame, Ohio State, Mississippi State, Alabama, Nebraska, Tennessee, Louisville, Texas, and LSU.

On the field, Womack has played wide receiver on offense while returning punts, consistently showing off his speed and impressive hands. In contrast, his understanding of wide receiver routes bodes well once he moves to cornerback or safety at the next level.

According to 247Sports, Womack is currently the 32nd-ranked prospect in the class, the No. 1-ranked safety prospect, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Mississippi.
