Which Boston Celtics alum is the NBA’s biggest career earner from Columbia, South Carolina? This question might be tough for all but the most stalwart Celtics trivia experts, or at least fans over 30 years old. The player in question played less than 50 games for Boston over two seasons, his time with the Celtics hobbled by injury.

We are of course talking about big man Jermaine O’Neal, who played for Boston in 2010-11 and 2011-12, and earned a total of $168,794,021 during his time in the NBA per HoopsHype. That’s enough to make him the best-paid player from his South Carolina hometown, though he has some solid if distant fiscal competition in that regard.

After O’Neal, Torrey Craig checks in with $18,284,337 in career earnings to date. Tyrone Corbin earned $12,036,200 in his time in the league, and fellow Celtics alum Xavier McDaniel took home a healthy $11,498,000.

Not too bad, given Columbia is not exactly one of the U.S.’s most bustling metropolises!
