USC basketball is a finalist for four-star small forward

Eric Musselman tries to land a California-based recruit with Oregon roots.

Winters Grady, a four-star small forward, was offered last month by the USC basketball program and Eric Musselman. Now Grady has the Trojans as a finalist for his choice of top schools.

The nine schools Grady has announced are USC, Oregon, Michigan, Oklahoma, Creighton, Iowa, New Mexico, Arizona State, and Colorado.

Grady is a 6-foot-7, 200-pound small forward who plays his high school basketball at Prolific Prep, a school in Napa, California, but originally, he’s from Lake Oswego, Oregon.

According to the 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, the world of recruiting sees Grady as the No. 81 overall recruit in the 2025 recruiting class. The four-star also rates as the No. 13 small forward nationally and the No. 6 player in the state of California. Eric Musselman has a national recruiting strategy at USC, but he does need to win his share of West Coast and California recruitments as well.

Grady has official visits remaining with the following schools listed below.

  • New Mexico – Aug. 22
  • Michigan – Aug. 29
  • Iowa – Sep. 7
  • Colorado – Sep. 11
  • Oklahoma – Sep. 21
