Rams move up to become 2nd-most valuable franchise in NFL

There’s only one NFL franchise worth more than the Los Angeles Rams now

The Rams moved to Los Angeles in 2016 and ever since then, the franchise’s value has increased exponentially. Granted, reaching two Super Bowls and winning a championship helps, but the move from St. Louis to L.A. has worked out as well as it could have.

Sportico released updated valuations of each NFL franchise on Tuesday and the Rams moved up one spot from last year’s list. With a value of $7.79 billion, the Rams are now the second-most valuable franchise in the NFL, behind only the Dallas Cowboys ($10.32 billion).

They moved ahead of the Patriots, who are now fourth with an overall value of $7.31 billion). The Giants ($7.65 billion) also jumped the Patriots, while the 49ers are fifth at $6.86 billion.

Last year, the Rams were the third-most lucrative franchise with a value of $6.9 billion, so that number increased by nearly $1 billion in just one calendar year.

With one of the best stadiums in the league and a team that’s always in contention, the Rams are set up well to keep increasing their total value year over year. No team will probably ever catch the Cowboys, but the Rams are certainly on the rise.
