We are down to 17 days from the start of the UCLA Bruins football season. Middle of August, and the weather is hot, and the players are heating their skills to get ready for the season. Since we have 17 days left, we are going to highlight the pair of 17s on the Bruins roster:
First up is Logan Loya. Loya is a 5’11, 185, redshirt senior. He came to UCLA from St. John Bosco High School. From Garden Grove California, Loya has been with the Bruins since January of 2020. Last season was a big season for Loya, with 7 starts, and had three catches or more in 11 out of the 13 games. Loya posted his first 100-yard game against Colorado.

Next is linebacker Jalen Woods. Woods is a 6’1, 220, redshirt sophomore. He came to the Bruins from Compton and also played at St. John’s Bosco High School. Woods played in all 13 games a season ago. He had two tackles against both San Diego State and California. He has been with the Bruins since the summer of 2022.
