It has been a little lull with Notre Dame football and its offers out to high school prospects.
While it didn’t completely end, the drought did as the Irish offered 2026 South Carolina wide receiver [autotag]Jordon Gidron[/autotag] on Tuesday. The 6-foot, 2-inch and 185-pounder had a great day, as not only did Notre Dame offer, but the Florida Gators did as well.
Gidron is one of the nation’s top players in him class, as the 247Sports Composite Rankings has him as the No. 43 overall player, 7th wide receiver, and top prospect in South Carolina. It’s certain that his recruitment will be a who’s who of college football’s elite.
After a great conversation with Coach @Im_MikeB, I am grateful to receive an 🅾️ffer from the University of Notre Dame to play for @NDFootball @Marcus_Freeman1 @CarterAuman #GoIrish☘️ #Offer31@NotreDame247 @insideNDsports @BGInews @AnnaH247 @RivalsFriedman @adamgorney… pic.twitter.com/OWzgmnKo80

While Notre Dame has yet to get Gidron on campus, there is plenty of time to do so. Hopefully an unofficial during the season is followed by an official next summer.
If that happens, the Irish are in the mix for his commitment.
