College football analyst Joel Klatt evaluates USC heading into 2024 season

Joel Klatt is one of few pundits willing to give USC and Lincoln Riley actual respect.

Fox Sports broadcaster and college football insider Joel Klatt laid down the law last week, revealing his official preseason top 25 poll for the 2024 college football season. The college football analyst and former Colorado quarterback is among the believers who think USC is in for a bounce back in 2024.

On the latest episode of the Joel Klatt Show, Klatt ran through his preseason top 25 and had the Trojans checking in at No. 14 in his preseason list after coming off a disappointing 8-5 2023 season.

“I actually say, to all those people that think USC is never going to turn it around, they only have to do one thing this year. If you look at their schedule. And you know what that one thing is — and it could propel them to the playoff. What is that one thing?”

Klatt responded by saying the one thing USC must do is beat LSU in Las Vegas on the opening weekend of the season.

“Michigan’s a rebuild. They don’t play Ohio State or Oregon. And their Big Ten road games, there’s a lot of Rutgers in there. They should go 9-3 or 10-2.
