Michigan football will have its work cut out for it in 2024 with its schedule loaded with multiple top teams.

The preseason AP Top 25 was released on Monday and the Wolverines come in ranked No. 9. Assuming that the maize and blue handle business in Week 1 against Fresno State, they’ll have a top 10 matchup in Week 2 with No. 4 Texas coming to town. Two weeks later, in Week 4, Michigan will host No. 23 USC and then have a bit of a break in October (assuming Washington or the rest jump into the rankings) before facing No. 3 Oregon to start November and No. 2 Ohio State to close out the month and the regular season.

Not on the schedule but also ranked within the Big Ten are No. 8 Penn State and No. 25 Iowa.
