A three-star 2026 quarterback lists Kentucky football as a finalist

Three-star 2026 quarterback Ely Hamrick has Kentucky football in his final three.

Class of 2026 three-star quarterback Ely Hamrick of Asheville (N.C.) A.C. Reynolds High School has the Kentucky Wildcats as a finalist. His list of three includes Kentucky, Appalachian State, and Virginia.

Hamrick isn’t currently ranked by any of the major recruiting services, but is rated three stars by Rivals.

The quarterback spent his first two high school seasons at IMG Academy before transferring to A.C. Reynolds in North Carolina.

In nine games as a sophomore last season, Hamrick completed 59 percent of his passes for 1,244 yards, 18 touchdowns and only 3 interceptions.

The 6-foot-5, 218-pound Hamrick also has offers from South Carolina, Toledo, ECU, Duke, North Carolina State, Charlotte and Toledo.

If Hamrick signs with Kentucky in 2026 that would be a great addition to the class at quarterback, as I expect Hamrick to get more playing time and work his way up the ranks in the near future.
