Kentucky women’s basketball is a finalist for top forward in 2025

Class of 2025 forrward Agot Makeer has Kentucky women’s basketball in her final six.

Agot Makeer, the number six overall national prospect in the class of 2025, announced her top six schools through On3.com. The list includes Kentucky, UConn, Duke, Michigan State, North Carolina and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-1 senior senior guard previously dropped her top 12, on June 26th which also included Louisville, Michigan, Notre Dame, UCLA, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech.

Born in Fargo, North Dakota, Makeer was raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, and has WNBA dreams. She’ll be returning this season for Crestwood Prep (North York, Ontario) after spending her first two seasons with St. Ignatius (Thunder Bay, Ontario).

As a junior with Crestwood last year, Makeer averaged 19.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game.

Makeer averaged 17.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, as well as 4.0 assists at the Under 17 Women’s World Cup for team Canada.

When describing herself as a player to On3’s Talia Goodman, Makeer said she’s ​​“a very competitive person. My work ethic isn’t like a lot of the other girls in my class, and I feel like that puts me ahead sometimes. I’m versatile in a way that my body is different, I can get to the rim and score from the perimeter.”

Let’s hope coach Brooks can land Makeer this fall season for the Kentucky Wildcats women’s hoops program.
