Watch: Jared Verse sent a Cowboys lineman flying onto his back with a powerful bullrush

Jared Verse destroyed a Cowboys lineman in this one-on-one drill, sending him flying onto his back

One of Jared Verse’s best traits coming out of Florida State was his ability to convert speed to power. At 6-foot-4, he’s a highly athletic pass rusher, which allows him to jump off the snap and bullrush offensive tackles into oblivion.

He showed off that power during Thursday’s practice with the Dallas Cowboys, destroying an opposing lineman in one-on-one drills with a ferocious power move. He sent the lineman flying onto his back, about 7 yards behind where he first made contact.

It was an impressive physical feat from the Rams’ top draft pick, showing just what we can expect to see from him this season.

Byron Young had eight sacks as a rookie last season, and it’s reasonable to think Verse could eclipse that number and go over 10 sacks in Year 1. He has the potential to be a Pro Bowler in the near future.
