Former Clemson defensive lineman Albert Huggins has signed with the Dallas Cowboys, adding another chapter to his NFL journey. The Cowboys made the announcement on Tuesday after Huggins impressed during a workout.
Huggins, who played for the Atlanta Falcons in 2023, had his best season yet, appearing in 13 games with five starts. He recorded a career-high 22 tackles, along with two quarterback hits and a fumble recovery.
At 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, Huggins has been with five different teams over five NFL seasons, including a stint on the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad in 2020 under current Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.
A former standout at Clemson, Huggins was part of two national championship teams and accumulated 83 tackles and seven sacks in his college career. Now, he brings his experience to the Cowboys’ defensive line as he continues his professional career.
