Drake Maye featured in new TV ad with fellow 2024 NFL rookies

Drake Maye is battling for the New England Patriots’ starting quarterback gig. He’s also quite the actor.

Currently in the midst of his first NFL Training Camp, former UNC quarterback Drake Maye is fighting for a starting spot with the New England Patriots.

New England has previously said that Brissett will open the season as first-year head coach and former player Jerod Mayo’s starter, but the Patriots have not only one – but two talented rookie QBs on their roster.

New England originally selected Maye third overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, with the idea that he will one day become its next franchise quarterback. Filling the shoes of Tom Brady won’t be an easy task, but if Maye continues to make small improvement, he could be the guy.

Shortly after the NFL Draft occurred, Maye was photographed alongside some of his fellow rookies. He’ll get to play against second overall pick Jayden Daniels in the preseason, then number one overall pick Caleb Williams in the regular season.

Fast forward three months from the NFL Draft, when Maye is seen with his fellow rookies again – on television – in a Fanatics ad.

After a few more days of Training Camp, Maye will see his first NFL action on Thursday, Aug. 8 against his hometown Carolina Panthers. This game will be played in New England, but this has to be bittersweet for Maye nonetheless.

How much playing time will Maye and his fellow 2024 NFL Draftees get this fall?
