The Big Ten has given what the fans have demanded for an updated Big Ten Conference: Maps spot. The popular spot, which features the song Silver Lining by the band Guards, was updated to include the Big Ten’s four newest members: Oregon, UCLA, USC, and Washington.
The new spot starts with the conference’s newest programs as it rises over the Cascade Mountain range outside Seattle, Washington, showing viewers the University of Washington and the University of Oregon. The new spot also includes a handful of select `easter eggs’ that go with each location, such as the Space Needle, Mount Rainier for the University of Washington, and a seaplane.
For UCLA and USC, there are homages to the Hollywood sign, Jackie Robinson, the famous Santa Monica pier, and, of course, also features both the Rose Bowl and Coliseum, the homes of UCLA and USC.
The Big Ten’s 2024 football season will kick off on Thursday, August 29, when Rutgers hosts Howard, Minnesota hosts North Carolina, and Illinois hosts Eastern Illinois. The Cornhuskers will begin their 2024 season just two days later, on August 31, when they host the UTEP Miners.
