WATCH: Big Ten releases new map commercial for 18-team conference

The famous Big Ten map commercial may have a new look:

The Big Ten officially welcomed former Pac-12 powers Oregon, USC, UCLA and Washington to the conference on Friday.

The date marks the official start of the conference’s new era in the post-realignment world. The 18-school Big Ten now spans from coast to coast and is guaranteed to look different than the conference that everybody grew to recognize over the last few decades.

One of the biggest questions related to the Big Ten’s expansion and general realignment is the existence of the famous map commercial. Many wondered if it would still exist after the conference’s significant changes.

The answer to that question was confirmed on Friday. The Big Ten revealed the new edition of the map commercial, highlighted by the same music theme and graphics:

The new version begins in the Pacific Northwestern with Washington and Oregon instead of at the Rose Bowl. It then travels down the coast to USC and UCLA, then turns to the Midwest where it moves through the rest of the conference.

Big Ten fans were predictably excited about the news on Friday.
