[autotag]Hailie Deegan[/autotag]’s future in NASCAR is currently up in the air after her stint with AM Racing ended after the Chicago Street Course. Deegan hasn’t competed in NASCAR since Nashville Superspeedway on June 29, when she finished in 28th place. However, at least one NASCAR Xfinity Series organization has linked to her for the 2025 season.
Haas Factory Team, a new NASCAR organization with some members of Stewart-Haas Racing, has been mentioned as a possible landing spot for Deegan. In fact, Haas Factory Team president Joe Custer addressed the possibility of signing Deegan with NBC Sports.
“We believe there’s more in [Hailie Deegan], and we want to be a part of that,” Custer said. “But that’s for future conversations…The situation with us at Haas Factory Team is we have to win at that level. We are willing to look at all options as far as drivers go. Maybe somebody that is already in the sport. Maybe somebody that’s a [NASCAR Cup Series] driver that comes down.”

“We’ve got to put cars in the winner’s circle. We’ve got to sort out our equipment because our business model is reliant on having technical partners to keep the program healthy. So, if we don’t win and we are not a leader on the track, then our other teammates…they find it hard to believe that we can deliver the kind of data and leadership for them. So, it’s a different model.”
It’s clear that Haas Factory Team believes that Deegan would be a great addition to the team, as it wants to be a part of unlocking her as a driver. After leaving AM Racing, Deegan’s future in NASCAR looked very murky as no obvious landing spot stood out. Now, Deegan could be on the way to joining Haas Factory Team for the 2025 season.
