The Green Bay Packers introduced a new white alternate helmet on Thursday. The helmet will be worn with the team’s traditional white away uniform and alternate white pants during a Week 7 game against the Houston Texans during the 2024 regular season.
The new helmet removed all gold from the shell and added a white mask, leaving behind a green “G” logo and two green stripes. The Packers kept the gold striping in both the uniform and pants.
The Packers are planning to wear the all-white uniform set for a noon game at Lambeau Field.
On its own, the new helmet looks clean and sharp, although the lack of gold — a dominant color for a team dubbed “The Green and Gold” — takes some getting used to. Keeping the gold in the uniform and pants creates a bit of mismatched look overall, but the set — previously worn during the “Color Rush” era — looked terrific on the field.
The Packers want fans to unite with the team and wear all white during the Oct. 20 showdown with C.J. Stroud and the Texans at Lambeau Field.
