Washington’s NIL collective Montlake Futures announces event with Bill Belichick

Washington’s NIL collective Montlake Futures announced plans to host an exclusive dinner with Bill Belichick.

Washington fans should get used to seeing Bill Belichick in Huskies gear more often.

After the former New England Patriots coach popped up at spring practice on Montlake and was seen in Huskies gear several times during public appearances, many Washington fans have begun to ask just how involved Belichick plans to be in the program that hired his son, Steve, as defensive coordinator this offseason.

On Wednesday, Montlake Futures answered: very involved. At least for one more night.

Washington’s NIL collective announced plans for an exclusive dinner with the legendary eight-time Super Bowl champion, promoting the event with the description “Leadership, the state of football, story telling, pictures, and autographs throughout the event.”

Proceeds from the event will flow back into the football program, which coach Jedd Fisch has made clear needs more NIL investment in order to compete in the Big Ten. Montlake Futures clarified that more details about the event are soon to come.

Belichick was one of the headliners at Washington’s spring coaching clinic before appearing at practice and is one of a number of NFL coaches who Fisch and company have brought around the program in their short time on Montlake.

Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald spoke at the coaching clinic, former Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, father of Huskies offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll, has been spotted at practice, while San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch and Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay have made stops in Seattle in recent months.

Now, Washington will extend that NFL influence to the fans. Not many other programs can say they can offer a dinner with an eight-time Super Bowl champion.
