Ravens had three wide receivers miss practice on Tuesday

Sure, it’s only training camp, and thus it is obviously not time to panic.

Rashod Bateman missed his second straight practice on Tuesday. On Monday, coach John Harbaugh said the receiver was suffering from “soreness,” indicating that the injury was only minor.

In addition to Bateman, two more wide receivers missed Tuesday’s session- Deonte Harty (his second missed camp practice) and Devontez Walker.

Sure, it’s only training camp, and thus, it is obviously not time to panic. After all, Walker is having a monster camp and could probably use a day off anyway.

On the other hand, there is no actual wide receiver pecking order here behind the No. 1 Zay Flowers. Bateman received a contract that would pay him the kind of money that a no. 2 receiver earns, so the expectation is that he will earn that role.

Otherwise, the Ravens could go into the season with Nelson Agholor as the WR2. We mean no disrespect to Agholor, but that would be suboptimal. Again, it’s very early, but this group needs reps, and they need them together so we can see them realize their full potential in 2024.
