It’s only a 2026 prospect, so we’re not going to get too worked up about it. What’s the point, after all? Yet, it remains that a former USC football head coach has played a role in a Trojan decommitment and subsequent flip to Georgia and Kirby Smart.
UGA Wire has more on this plot twist:
(Dominick) Kelly is listed at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, and plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Kelly is the nation’s 15th ranked cornerback and 34th overall player in the state of Florida according to 247Sports.
Former USC defensive backs coach Donte Williams primarily recruited Kelly. With Kelly’s commitment, Georgia now has three total commits in the class of 2026, with Kelly joining five-star quarterback Jared Curtis and three-star cornerback Jontavius Wyman. The Bulldogs’ 2026 class is currently rated fifth in the country, but it is very early on in the process.
Donte Williams is making his presence felt … just not in the way USC wanted.
