Analyzing the odds for the 2024 Olympics men’s golf with PGA Tour picks and predictions for the top prop bets.

All eyes are on the Olympics in Paris, where many of the world’s top golfers  will be competing for gold. The 4-day event will be played at Le Golf National, the same course that hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup, beginning on Thursday morning from France.

Below, we search for the best value prop bets from BetMGM Sportsbook among the 2024 Olympics men’s golf odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions.

Scottie Scheffler (+400) is the favorite to take home gold, followed by Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa and Jon Rahm. The field is limited to only 60 players, so of the top 50 in the world, just 20 of them are teeing it up.

Le Golf National has 3 courses on-site with this week’s event being played on the Albatros Course. It’s a par 71 and 7,331 yards long, featuring thick rough and narrow fairways with water hazards throughout.

Olympics men’s golf – Top-5 picks

Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 3:17 p.m. ET.

Collin Morikawa (+175)

Morikawa has been the king of close calls this year, which may not be a title he wants to hold. It’s easy to like his chances to win this week at a course that rewards accurate drivers like Morikawa, but just in case he comes up short of a win again, it’s worth taking him to crack the top 5.

Rory McIlroy (+130)

McIlroy has been in a major championship slump, but he has a knack for winning big tournaments that aren’t majors – like the Players Championship, Tour Championship and Scottish Open. Could he add a gold medal to his resume? Potentially, but he’s even a good value for a top-5 finish.

Jon Rahm (+175)

Rahm is coming off a good showing at the Open Championship and a win in LIV Golf’s most recent event, so his form is promising. After a down year in the majors, Rahm could make up for it with a gold medal win – or at least a podium finish at the Olympics.

Olympics men’s golf – Top-10 picks

Tommy Fleetwood (+125)

Fleetwood won the Open de France at this course in 2017 and earned 4 points for Team Europe in the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National, so he has experience on this track. With his accuracy off the tee and prowess for hitting less than driver, he’s a great fit. It’s just been so hard for him to break through with a win anywhere lately.

Alex Noren (+160)

Noren is another former champion at this course, winning the Open de France in 2018. In fact, in 4 career starts in the Open de France, he’s never finished worse than 18th, and now he plays in a limited 60-player field with a great chance to finish in the top 10.

Corey Conners (+160)

There won’t be a cut this week but Conners wouldn’t have missed it even if there was. He’s perfect this year (20-for-20) and given his consistency all season, he has a great chance to finish in the top 10 out of the 60 players teeing it up.

Olympics men’s golf – Top-20 picks

Byeong Hun An (-125)

You have to lay some juice with An for a top-20 but it’s worth it because he’s a pure ball striker and unlike many players in the field, he’s seen this course before; he finished 20th in the 2015 Open de France.

Thorbjorn Olesen (+130)

Olesen finished 10th at the Open de France last year and came in 3rd in 2017. He’s understandably a long shot this week, but he has some very good course history, having played the Open de France 5 times since 2015.

Olympics men’s golf – Top South American

Joaquin Niemann (-120)

There are 7 South Americans in the field this week, but Niemann is the favorite of the bunch, as he should be. He’s had a great season on LIV and was playing well at the Open before his 8 on the par-3 Postage Stamp, so he’s certainly a player who could contend for a medal in France.

Olympics men’s golf – Top American

Collin Morikawa (+333)

With only 4 Americans (Scheffler, Schauffele, Morikawa and Wyndham Clark) in the field, the options are limited. Scheffler is +110 to be the top American and Schauffele isn’t far behind (+188), but there’s value with Morikawa at +333 to only beat 3 other golfers.

Olympics men’s golf – First-round leader

Alex Noren (+1800)

If Noren is in the field, he’s worth betting to be the 1st-round leader. He was near the top of the leaderboard again at the Open Championship 2 weeks ago with a 1st-round 69, which put him tied for 4th.

Xander Schauffele (+1100)

Schauffele also shot 69 in the 1st round of the Open Championship before going on to win the tournament, keeping him 2nd on tour in 1st-round scoring average this season.
