Wisconsin makes the top six schools for top-100 class of 2025 SF

Wisconsin basketball was listed among the final six schools for top-100 class of 2025 small forward Amari Allen on Monday.

Minnesota, UCF, Mississippi, Nevada and Alabama joined Wisconsin on Allen’s final list of schools.

Shortly after Greg Gard and his staff extended an offer to Allen earlier this month, the top small forward scheduled an official visit to Madison, Wisconsin for the weekend of Sept. 14 — the same weekend the Badgers play against Alabama football. Allen’s other scheduled visits for this fall are Aug. 28-30 at Minnesota, Aug. 30 – Sept. 1 at Alabama, Sept. 1-3 at Nevada, Sept. 6-8 at Mississippi State and Sept. 27-29 at UCF.

247Sports, On3, ESPN and Rivals still consider Allen a four-star recruit. Over the past two weeks, Allen has moved up to 247Sports’ No. 98 player in the class of 2025. He remains the No. 18 small forward and slid down slightly to the No. 14 recruit from the state of Florida.

Given his offers, which also include Creighton, Auburn, Indiana, Iowa, Marquette, Tennessee, Villanova, Georgetown and Virginia Tech, Wisconsin’s emergence as one of his final suitors is notable.

The 6-foot-7, 180-pounder played high school hoops at Kaukauna High School in Kaukauna, Wisconsin before venturing to Florida’s IMG Academy. The in-state ties appear to have an impact on his final decision.

UW’s current class of 2025 ranks No. 6 in the nation two players committed thus far: four-star shooting guard Zach Kinziger and three-star center Will Garlock.
