Predicting Michigan football 2024 starting lineup after Big Ten media days

These are probably your starters today, fall camp pending. #GoBlue

We’re just over a month away from the Michigan football season opener when the Wolverines will host Fresno State for a night game on Aug. 31. And though fall camp begins next week, we’re getting a better idea of who might take the field for the first snaps.

Head coach Sherrone Moore gave plenty of hints or shared which players may be ahead of others. He said that at quarterback the biggest priority is consistency and taking care of the football. That, for instance, leads us to believe Alex Orji, who hasn’t thrown a pass in a game since his single completion in his freshman year of 2021, may not be the shoo-in to be the starter. Of course, competition in fall camp could change things in a hurry.

Given everything Moore said, we can come up with a pretty accurate assessment of where things stand heading into fall camp. Here is what we predict the starting lineup to be as of now.
