Penn State extends offer to talented 2026 DL Keshawn Stancil

North Carolina defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil impressed Penn State coaches and now has an offer.

Penn State is looking to make some early connections to help boost the defensive line in the Class of 2026. After hosting a number of potential future Nittany Lions for a mid-summer recruiting event this weekend, Penn State’s staff made sure to send a few notable prospects home with a scholarship offer to consider. One player returning home from the weekend with a Penn State offer in hand was North Carolina defensive lineman Keshawn Stancil.

Stancil is a 6-3, 260-pound defensive lineman from Clayton, North Carolina and he will surely be a player to watch in the recruiting process as rankings and ratings are expanded. Stancil does not currently have a recruiting ranking or rating from 247Sports, On3, or Rivals. ESPN rates Stancil as a three-star recruit this far out in the Class of 2026 recruiting process.

Other offers in for Stancil so far have come from Appalachian State, Arkansas State, Florida, Florida State, Liberty, Temple, Troy, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. Of those scholarships, Florida State has been viewed by some as a potential favorite or top challenger to Penn State’s chances of winning Stancil’s commitment.

The scholarship offer for Stancil may have impacted the recruiting prediction machine from On3 in Penn State’s favor. The current recruiting odds give Penn State a 72.7% chance of winning Stancil’s commitment.

Penn State also handed out a scholarship offer to Pennsylvania offensive lineman Tavian Branch. Penn State also picked up a couple of commitments over the weekend from offensive lineman Kevin Brown and wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers.
