Kentucky basketball fans who enjoy recruiting news got to hear that coach Mark Pope has offered two top five players in the 2026 class this weekend. Top ranked Brandon McCoy received an offer, but they also extended a scholarship offer to forward Caleb Holt.
Holt is a 6’5, 200 lb small forward out of Georgia, and is currently ranked as the number three overall player in the class of 2026 by 247sports. He is their top ranked small forward and the top player in the state of Georgia.

North Carolina offered Holt in June, joining teams like Houston, Auburn, and Alabama in pursuit. There will certainly be more teams added to the list as he gets closer to a decision.
Kentucky fans are still waiting on Pope to land a commitment from a 2025 recruit, but it’s also nice to see that he is going after some of the top players for the next class.
