The Cincinnati Bengals announced a trio of free agency signings on Friday, capping off a busy first week of training camp.
Media reports spoiled the first two before the team could announce the additions of cornerback Nate Brooks and wide receiver Hakeem Butler.
The third? Punter Ryan Rehkow.
That means there is now a three-way roster battle at punter this offseason, with Rehkow joining Brad Robbins and undrafted rookie Austin McNamara.
As for Brooks, the biggest fan of his signing was…Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. He’ll compete for a roster spot, as will Butler, the reigning UFL offensive player of the year.
